The emotional growth engine can begin at any stage of life, but more often needs a life hardship/trauma to precipitate restart.
Omg I remember some of this! It reminds me of something I’ve seen re: The Holocaust. People running the concentration camps, doing horrifying things to other human beings. And years later, when they were asked why … It was always the same response verbatim: “I was just following orders.” Really? The thought never occurred to you that you were torturing and murdering innocent human beings? You were destroying families and killing the soul, the spirit, the mind along with the body? Have you looked into these people’s eyes? Have you tried to feel their torment and anguish? How is it that you never questioned any of it?
The truth I have found is like a spark, it can ignite a Blaze, however it is more often than not smothered.
While none of the things I have uncovered in two very separate work places has been world shattering it has none the less caused enough waves to have seen my position untenable in both.
This has left myself and my family to suffer.
Was it worth it..sometimes yes and at other times no.
